THE RESULTS UP CLOSE
Up close you can see that the dented area could have turned out
better. The small triangular piece that I removed & replaced sunk in
just a little bit. The other visible lines are just breaks in the finish.
Viewed from another angle, the tell-tale dip is more noticable. Some
day this sitar will be re-finished. A little filler should smooth out the
remaining blemish.
The longest crack (running up the photo) is smooth to the touch.
The shorter curved crack (running across the photo below the longest
crack) is slightly raised.
